The past has a future here in the Ardens.

Equality in Sport

Add captions, take pictures of artifacts

In its early years, Arden also broke barriers in the field of sports. In the early 20th century, much of society outside the Ardens thought it was inappropriate for women to play competitive sports and it was unheard of for women to play with or against men.  In the Ardens, not only was there a women’s baseball team, local folklore suggests that there was also a combined team of men and women during a game against Rose Valley, a nearby utopian community.
